Kapabamayak Achaak Healing Forest was once again invited to present at the 2nd annual Outdoor Learning Conference hosted by Take Me Outside, an organization committed to raising awareness and facilitating action on nature connection and outdoor learning in schools across Turtle Island.
From May 9-11, Keepers Val Vint, Rachelle Carlisle, and Kerry Saner-Harvey traveled to Banff, Alberta, to network with outdoor educators from around the world and offer a group session on the origins, intent, and opportunities of using KAHF as a space for educating youth about the history of colonialism and the need to reconnect with the land.
It was also a great opportunity to learn about land-based practices across the country and be inspired by great keynotes speakers, such as Elder Albert D. Marshall, author of Walking Together.
